I am extremely proud to serve as the Georgia Highway Contractors Association’s 48th chairman. The staff, board and members are second to none and the success of Georgia, as the best state to do business, is a testament to the efforts of this Association, GDOT, the Governor’s office and our legislators.

The Association continues to face the current societal issues of workforce shortages, the rising cost of doing business, and physical and mental health and safety of our employees. We continue to strive to provide benefits for our members through new programs, HEO workforce development, and continuing existing programs such as the GTPC and the GHCA Safety Committees.

GHCA’s partnership with GDOT is essential to the mission of the organization. This relationship ensures us a seat at the table to stay in tune with and offer suggestions for major policy decisions impacting transportation projects and funding of these projects.

We continue to be highly involved in the legislative process, tracking all transportation associated bills and informing the membership of what is happening at the capitol. We push for change that will benefit our member companies, and Georgia as a whole, such as Tort reform.

Thank you for entrusting me with the job of GHCA chairman. I look forward to working with the GHCA staff, executive committee, board of directors, and membership to deliver our goals for the years ahead.
